Three Little Gifts

This week has been work, work work and I've gotten out of the habit of checking my blog let alone posting on it. Tonight I received a gift when Chuck and I came home from our friends.
However, I'm going to tell you about my week first so you can feel as thankful for the gift as I am.
Oh, for your information since everyone keeps asking: Taylor Coburn is doing well. Each say she improves and as soon as the doctors can get all of the infection out of her lungs she will be off the ventilator. She is still in intensive care in the hospital and Emily and her mom are by her side. Taylor is the miracle that came out of this tragedy.
So this past week has been crazy I finally closed on a deal which was in underwriting for a month! FYI most deals are in underwriting for a few days, that was a record and it's just a sign of the real estate times we are in. I have been busy in my yard and the Coburn's house downtown. I water mine and theirs by dragging hoses, it's a pain but needs to be done if I want those pretty green lawns. I planted my flower pots and they look pretty good. Dan & Elke sent me a baby pink rose for mothers day and I have it in the center of a pot with yellow trailing Petunias, trailing Myrtle and white Lobelia. That is one of my favorites. I also weeded and planted the front flower beds, tow of the back flower beds and that was all during my evenings. I did real estate & property management during my days. Then there was the washing, house cleaning, errands and all the other things my week includes; I could go on but I suppose everyone has crazy weeks. Here is the gift:
Tonight we visited our friends the Wallaces when we left their house it was dark. We turned onto our street and saw something in the road, I was driving and I slowed down not wanting to hit what was in the road. I put the lights on high beam and this is what we saw. Three little cottontails were frozen in our headlights. They just sat there and so did we, staring down the bunnies. We were so surprised as we are used to seeing one that lives in our neighborhood hopping fast, yet we have never seen three before. Chuck and I were content to sit and watch the bunnies for a couple of minutes and they just sat there starring at us. Chuck finally got out of the truck and walked right up to them they didn't even move until he clapped his hands and made some noise; they hopped in three different directions. What a fun ending to our evening this was, three little cotton tail bunnies, our gifts.

What a busy week! I understand about watering the lawn with hoses, that's what we do at our house and it is a pain. I got your message last week, thanks for calling and sorry I didn't get back to you. Jeff and I have both been sick since Wednesday but we're doing much better now. Have a good week!

Don't forget...made a delicious dinner for some friends and visited a new baby in the hospital and gave some get well and new father baskets for friends. I know that you would never toot your own horn, but you are amazing.

It must be mating season for rabbits. They are all over the place here as well, and the girls love to watch them. They are so cute!

We never get to have wild rabbits running around. Bunnies are especially fun. It lifts my heart to think of the wonders of nature and the beauties that we sometimes forget to take time to look at. You are wonderful and they are miracles...Sid
